Amazon.com Product Description Seventh Generation Bathroom Tissue is made from 100% recycled paper, with a minimum of 80% post-consumer materials. Whitened with an environmentally safe process--never with chlorine bleach--this tissue is the healthy choice for your family and your environment. Made from 100% Recycled Chlorine-Free Paper By choosing Seventh Bathroom Tissue, you'll be making an important environmental difference immediately. These paper towels are not whitened with chlorine and are made from 100% recycled paper (80% post-consumer, 20% pre-consumer). Hypo-allergenic, unbleached, fragrance-free, and made without dyes or inks, this tissue paper is safe for septic systems and ideal for low-flow toilets. Post-consumer paper is paper that has been recycled at home or at the office. Buying post-consumer paper helps finish the job you started--of saving the earth's natural resources, including trees, water, and energy. And using products made from post-consumer recycled materials helps reduce the need for virgin wood pulp, which means more trees are left standing. Trees naturally absorb carbon dioxide--a greenhouse gas that's the primary contributor to global warming. In fact, a single tree, over its lifetime, absorbs about one tone of CO2. To put it another way, a ton of recycled paper saves seventeen trees. If every household in the U.S. replaced just one roll of 500 sheet virgin fiber bathroom tissue with 100% recycled ones, we could save 448,000 trees, 1.1 million cubic feet of landfill space (equal to 1,700 full garbage trucks), and 161 million gallons of water, which is a year's supply for 1,270 families of four! About Seventh Generation Seventh Generation offers a complete line of natural household products designed to work as well as their traditional counterparts, but use renewable, non-toxic, phosphate-free, and biodegradable ingredients as often as possible, and are never tested on animals. Seventh Generation products are healthy and safe for the air, the surfaces, the pets, and the people in your home--and for the environment outside of it. Every time you use Seventh Generation products you make a difference by saving natural resources, keeping toxic chemicals out of the environment, and making the world a safer place for this and the next seven generations. Amazon and the manufacturer are happy to offer this item in easy-to-open Frustration-Free Packaging. A Frustration-Free Package comes without excess packaging materials such as hard plastic "clamshell" casings, plastic bindings, and wire ties. It's designed to be opened without the use of a box cutter or knife and will protect your product just as well as traditional packaging during shipping. Products with Frustration-Free Packaging can frequently be shipped in their own boxes, without the need for an additional shipping box. Learn more about Frustration-Free Packaging.

go green March 9, 2010 azreads (Maine) It's toilet paper people and it is environmentally friendly. If you want the soft stuff that is not this. That said, I've used this for almost a year now and so has my family...not one person has said one word (and they aren't shy about voicing their opinion) So this is one small opportunity to make a difference. The price is right! Especially if you use subscribe and save.
It all comes out in the end March 5, 2010 bernie (Arlington, Texas) Toilet paper is toilet paper. Yes, I know all about those commercials about soft and squishy baby bottom lovers. However, I assure you that the only thing you should be worrying about is if the finger brakes through.
Let us look at the bigger picture. How could you pass your trees knowing that you needlessly killed one of their kind? Moreover, for what, a moment of not worrying about where the tissue comes from?
This, 2-Ply Bathroom Tissue is just one of the many great products from Seventh Generation. In addition, it is actually economic besides eco-friendly.
Steven king tried using something else when he was playing cowboy as a kid. It turned out to be poison ivy. You do not want to make the same mistake.

Win-Win Situation! February 26, 2010 Katherine Craycraft (Columbus, OH) I have been trying to reduce my carbon footprint for the past two years now, so I've made a few sacrifices. One of them being cashmere-soft, overpriced, and wasteful toilet paper which I felt like I had to run out and buy constantly. I ordered the Seventh Generation 2-Ply Bathroom Tissue about a month ago and I'll admit, I was a little worried after reading the mixed reviews on the product page. It came in a lovely, recyclable cardboard box and the individual rolls were wrapped in (again) recyclable paper. (The recyclable part really pumps me up, I'm a recycling fiend!) After trying it out, I was thrilled. No, it's not like wiping your tush with your favorite plush blanket, but it was perfect for me. The 500 sheet roll takes forever to run out, and the 2 ply is actually very strong, as strong as any other and very much unlike "gas station" economy t.p. I ordered the case of 48 and since I subscribed, I received the discounted price AND free shipping. How's that for Win-Win?! This is a great product and an even greater statement and I hope it encourages others to give it a try.
No complaints January 22, 2010 Patrick S. Korey (Albuquerque, NM USA) The family was looking to make some of the things around the house more automatic, and buying in bulk would save us some cash. We really like Amazon's subscription service for things like this. Not much to say about the product. No one in the family has complained that is is too rough or such. Will continue to use...
like newspaper without the ink January 15, 2010 Cool Life in AZ (Oro Valley AZ) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The TP is VERY THIN - how can they call this 2-ply? It's thinner than some other 1-ply.
TP is stiff, not a bit of softness, I could use newspaper for free intead of buying this.
This was not at all the bargain I thought this was. No one in my family wants to use this. 47 rolls will be donated to the YMCA.
